I reuse and recycle old fabrics whenever possible in my designs, this is less wasteful, but also pushes me to think more innovatively and the outcome is a piece with inbuilt personality.

I’m passionate about working with other artists, performers and creators. I believe the only way to be constantly progressing is to collaborate regularly, at times challenging but always rewarding.

I’ve been making costumes for fifteen years, and I love what I do. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredibly talented and inspiring women. I started my career working for Melanie Wilson at Prangsta Costumiers, Mel taught me the value of recycling fabric and is definitely the pioneer of this practice. Since then I’ve worked with the stylist and designer Celia Arias, the first of our projects together being costumes for a rave in the old cinema in Walthamstow, the artist Sophie Soni on costumes for the Unfairground at Glastonbury Festival, creative director, Faye Freeman for the Unfairground and the queer collective The Red Rash Inn. Most recently Hannah McGavin at The Bakehouse Factory, running the costume department under her creative directorship.
